When MR.DIY introduced PANDAi the panda, it wasn’t just a mascot launch. It was the start of a new brand chapter. We needed to make MR.DIY feel more personal, human, and relatable, while staying true to its promise of caring for Malaysians with smart, affordable solutions.

We brought the PANDAi Jaga Anda initiative to life through a nationwide movement. From a 14-foot PANDAi installation in Bukit Bintang with flash mobs, to themed mall tours, transport integrations, and ongoing online storytelling, PANDAi quickly became more than a character. It became a personality Malaysians could connect with.

The response was overwhelming. PANDAi generated 37.7 million views at an ultra-low cost, RM761k in earned media, and massive social engagement. Most importantly, it turned brand love into action, driving higher store visits, a 5% lift in transactions, and a 5% increase in sales.
